Brass Kubera Vilakku

Puja Procedure for Kubera Vilakku:

 Basic Puja Steps:

1. Clean the Vilakku:

   • Wash and wipe the lamp clean.

   • Apply a tilak of turmeric and kumkum on the base.

2. Fill with Oil or Ghee:

   • Preferably use sesame oil or cow ghee for lighting.

3. Add a Cotton Wick:

   • Place the wick so it points towards the East or North direction (considered auspicious).

4. Offer Naivedyam (Optional):

   • Sweets, fruits, or dry fruits can be placed as offerings before the lamp.

5. Light the Lamp with Devotion:

   • Chant mantras or shlokas, such as:

     • “Om Yakshaaya Kuberaya Vaishravanaaya Dhanadhanyadi Pataye Dhana Dhanya Samriddhim Me Dehi Dapaya Swaha”

6. Pray to Lord Kubera and Goddess Lakshmi:

   • Ask for blessings for wealth, success, and household prosperity.

7. Keep the Lamp in a Clean Place:

   • Place it near your puja altar or in the North-East corner of the home.
